Kingstown Day Nursery hosts 2012 graduation
Ten students graduated from the Kingstown Day Nursery and Pre-school on July 19, in front of parents, guardians and friends, now fully equipped and ready for primary school.{{more}}
The ceremony started at 10.30 a.m., with Master of Ceremonies and Treasurer of the Board Nina Maloney ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The graduates ââ three girls: Delcia Amrion Miracle Hadaway, Micaiah Baisden and Melody Cordice, and seven boys: Antonio Kyle Smith, Jason Isaiah Junior DeFreitas, Omari Kelly, Luke Isaacs, Brandon Shawn Knights, Leo Vaughn, and JâSean Zaidon Jelani Williams ââ were beautifully dressed, excited and full of anticipation.
Chairman of the Board Kathryn Cyrus encouraged the parents to keep the children happy and enthusiastic about learning as long as was possible within their power.
Guest speaker Gail Davis spoke on theââ theme, âEducation our Future. Teach us wellâ.
Catherine Clarke, the Nursery coordinator, gave her annual report.
Finally, everyone was entertained by the students with music and verse, prior to the presentation of their certificates by Treasurer Angela Taylor and gifts by Mrs Cyrus.
