Courts offering bigger deals to customers for Carnival 2012
This carnival season, Courts has what you want.
On Monday this week, the Furniture and Appliance Giant launched its 2012 Carnival promotional campaign in fine style,{{more}} on the Kingstown showroom floor, unveiling the face of this yearâs promotion, as well as making exciting announcements for customers and revellers alike.
Marketing Manager Alexis John, speaking at Mondayâs press conference, announced that soca star Lornette âFya Empressâ Nedd will once again be the storeâs Carnival promotion mascot, with her hit song âRum Pleaseâ being transformed into a 45 second Courts jingle.
John said that the decision to use Nedd for a second time was an obvious one, since, like Courts, the âFya Empressâ brand has now become a household name.
âShe has been very consistent over the years. She has been ripping up the airwaves.â John said.
âLike Courts, she is known in every community and in practically every household. Her personality and performance are awesome, and that is why we are extremely delighted that we are once again making Lornette âFya Empressâ Nedd the face of our Carnival campaign.â
The campaign which got started on Tuesday, June 19 and runs until Thursday, July 12, will see customers of Courts who spend $499 or more earning the opportunity to receive what John calls âthe essentials of Carnivalâ.
âBy spending $499 and up, you get a chance to win costumes from the top mas bands that Courts will be partnering with this year. You also get a chance to win tickets to the biggest shows of the Carnival: H2O, Ragga Soca, and Soca on the Beach.
âIn addition, every customer spending $499 or more will receive the Ultimate Monday Street Party Pack from The Network, the biggest Monday street party band. You will receive an inclusive package containing a T-shirt, glow sticks, masks, beads and more.â
John pointed out that this year, Courts has partnered with five mas bands: Nelson Bloc, High Voltage, SVG Players International, Xtreme Fanatics and Ahdrenalin, to offer 20 carnival costumes to lucky shoppers.
During the press conference, John handed over cheques to representatives of each mas band, who indicated that it was their pleasure to work along with Courts on the biggest promotion of the season.
âWe have made numerous contributions to a number of the rural carnivals, and it is only fitting that we support the mas bands as well, by increasing our donations from three bands to five,â John said
He also noted that apart from the many prizes to be won, customers would pay absolutely nothing down, plus pay nothing for 30 days.
âThis is Courts showing our commitment to our premier festival, and ensuring that Vincy Mas continues to be the Hottest Carnival in the Caribbean, as well as ensuring that our customers have loads of great, clean, fun.â
