EC$500 to be won in Noel Prize for Poetry contest

Vincentian Poets are being encouraged to submit their work for the Noel Prize for Poetry contest.{{more}}

The winner of the contest will walk away with EC$500 and may have their work published in The Noel Prize for Poetry, Volume 1.

The contest, which is open to all Vincentians of any age, will accept poetry of any subject, length or form. The deadline for all entries is June 4, 2012.

Persons must submit one entry of three poems in a sealed envelope. These poems must be the work of the entrant and can be writing that is published or unpublished. Poems must be typed using Times New Roman font 12 and must be typed on separate sheets. Also, persons must include a cover letter with their name, address, contact number and email address.

Entries may be sent to: The Noel Prize for Poetry, P.O. Box 405, Kingstown.

Persons are only allowed to submit one entry.

There will be one winner awarded the Noel Prize for Poetry. That winner will be announced via the media in September 2012.

Poems will also be selected and published in the Noel Prize for Poetry, Volume 1. No entry fee is required for the contest. Persons are advised to only send copies of their work, as no entry submitted will be returned to the entrant.
