Eustace: NDP has not abandoned Lynch

Controversial radio talk show host Elwardo E.G Lynch has not been abandoned by the New Democratic Party (NDP).{{more}}

So says party leader Arnhim Eustace who, in a phone interview with SEARCHLIGHT on Tuesday, March 6, said that the party is looking out for the welfare of Lynch, the Party’s former chief spokesperson on their radio program New Times, which airs on NICE Radio.

He dismissed statements made by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves that Lynch had been cast aside by his party since falling ill with his eyes, after years of service.

“Lynch is finished. They discard him; put him on the dung heap, the refuse heap. How could you treat people like that?” the prime Minister stated at a press conference on Monday.

However, Eustace pointed that the Party has and continues to look out for Lynch.

“We have established accounts in the United States, Canada, and here at home, and we have been advertising that every day, and people have been making contributions.”

“The Prime Minister knows that.”

“All of his expenses in Barbados, we cleared all those already you know.”

He did have a problem with his visa, which we are trying to resolve,” Eustace said.(JJ)
