During the fair, which took place opposite Canouan Foods Ltd, the children were given free cotton candy and popcorn, while members of the Digicel family also gave the children early Christmas gifts in the form of school supplies, t-shirts, water bottles, pens and other gifts. The children were also given the use of a bouncing castle, while the face painting booth was a big hit.

Marketing Manager at Digicel Juno DeRoche said that Digicel did the event in an effort to spread joy and cheer during the yuletide season.

“We just wanted to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to Canouan and put a little joy in the children’s heart while allowing them to have some fun”, said DeRoche, who added that everything was provided free of cost compliments Digicel.

The adults were also treated with special consideration as Digicel’s staff sold handsets at reduced prices, while persons who topped up their handsets were given a choice of either entering the cash vault or spinning the ‘Wheel a Deal’.

Meanwhile, tonight, Friday, December 17, the community of Lowmans Leeward will come to life as the Digicel team sets up shop at Punkie’s Bar in Lowmans. Persons will be given the opportunity to enter the cash vault and spin the Wheel a Deal’ where they can win great prizes.
