The ‘Pink Sale Day’, which attracted the support of telecommunications provider Digicel, was held under the Singer gallery and featured the sale of pink items, including medical association t-shirts, breast cancer awareness caps and breast cancer pins. Pink is the official breast cancer awareness colour.

This year, Digicel teamed up with the SVGMA, and persons who bought any of these items received a gift from Digicel.

Head of the SVGMA Dr. Rosalind Ambrose said that the money made from the items sold will be used to help persons who need to travel abroad for cancer treatment.

Meanwhile, this afternoon, Friday October 14, beginning at Heritage Square, the SVGMA will hold its ‘Pink Cap Walk’. The walk will see persons walking around Kingstown and will end at Heritage Square.
