Local vehicle sales website unveiled

A local website developer has unveiled a new website, VincyGarage.com, which aims to revolutionize the traditional vehicle buying, selling and renting processes in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

The website seeks to eliminate the fundamental problems being faced by current approaches to selling and renting vehicles locally. By providing multiple pictures and full specifications of each vehicle, the website offers an effective and convenient method of obtaining crucial information required to make a purchase.

The website takes this basic concept a step further by introducing powerful functionality, such as integration with Facebook, YouTube, Google Maps and other modern services to enhance its operations.

A release from the developer said, “Noting the steady increase of Internet-ready devices and broadband connections, the website has already been a big hit with Vincentians within the 18 to 35 age category. During its development and testing phases, over 100 vehicles were listed for sale and twenty thousand page-views generated within a few months. The site is now ready to offer its service to the general public.”

Interested individuals and companies may contact a member of staff to document and upload a vehicle to the website. The website will advertise vehicles from private sellers and car dealerships, but will also encompass hard-to-find deals such as repossessed vehicles, damaged vehicles, police auctions, raffles and more. Additionally, the site will list vehicle parts and accessories in high demand, such as spare parts, aftermarket rims, sound systems, alarm kits and more.

VincyGarage.com was presented by its founder and manager Omar Wyllie, at the recently concluded ICT Roadshow 2011, where it was received with much admiration and anticipation by the audience.

The developer is currently seeking sponsorship from vehicle dealerships and other companies to aid with marketing, maintenance and expansion of the website and hopes that such initiates will receive the support from the business community as well as the general public, in order to be successful.
