NIS to hand over bus to Black Point Activity Centre

As part of its on-going social outreach programme, and in celebration of its 25th Anniversary, The National Insurance Services has procured a bus for the Black Point Activity Centre.{{more}}

The bus will be handed over at an official ceremony to be held at the Black Point Activity Centre on Tuesday, October 11, commencing at 3 p.m.

The keynote address will be delivered by the Area Representative and the Minister with responsibility for Social Security, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The bus will be used to transport the attendees of the Centre free of cost.

A release from the NIS said all senior citizens in the surrounding areas, who are not yet members of the Centre, are encouraged to make use of this opportunity.

Some of the daily activities at the centre include devotional and motivational sessions, arts and crafts, exercises, health checks, and outdoor activities.

The Centres are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from Tuesdays to Thursdays. Registration forms are available at the NIS Office and the Centres.
