Staff members of CIBC/FirstCaribbean International Bank, were out in full force last weekend for a special cause. CIBC/FirstCaribbean’s Adopt-a-Cause represents one of the primary ways in which the bank provides assistance to the community, through a financial gift and/or a display of volunteerism by staff.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines, much like its other Caribbean neighbours is home to many people who are physically or mentally challenged and unable to provide for themselves or their families. To help lessen their burden, once a year, at Christmas time, the St. Vincent Red Cross delivers food items to a wide cross-section of this sector.

CIBC/FirstCaribbean joined the Red Cross on Saturday, September 3, 2011, by donating the necessary funds, while staff members provided the time to assist in purchasing, packaging and delivering the food items.
