Local JCI holds fund raising to help persons in living Africa

In solidarity of the “Nothing But Nets” campaign where bed nets are being given to families in Africa to prevent the spread of malaria, the members of JCI St Vincent will be holding a jumble sale this Saturday, September 3, at the Kingstown Central Market.{{more}}

The fundraiser which takes place from 7 to 11 am, will have a variety of low priced items and a bake sale.

PRO of JCI St Vincent Joel Garret outlined that reports indicate that every 30 seconds, someone dies in Africa from malaria. He said that the “JCI Nothing But Nets” project embodies the philosophy of the JCI that service to humanity is the best work of life.

He explained that the jumble and bake sale fundraiser this Saturday would be a good way of saving the lives of others without even knowing them.
