Trinity School Pre-Med Genetics students in poster presentation

On August 3, 2011, the Pre-medicine Genetics class at the Trinity School of Medicine held a poster presentation at the school’s facility.{{more}}

This featured four topics: The Genetic Basis of Cancer; The Human Genome Project; Genetic Engineering; Trinucleotide Repeat Expansion.

The students portrayed informative and diversely creative posters, which were further enhanced by their articulation of knowledge on the aforementioned subject areas. A vivid discussion ensued. The presentation was well attended by faculty, visiting professors, staff, students and well-wishers of Trinity School of Medicine.

In September, 2011, the students involved will enter the medical programme at TSOM, upon completion of their final exams.

Trinity is now approaching three years of operation in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. A release from the school said, since start-up, it has had increasing enrolment, which now stands at over 140 international and regional students.
