PM Gonsalves on vacation

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves has said that he will be taking some time off for the first time in many, many years.{{more}}

His vacation was to have begun immediately following his return from meetings earlier this week, but he did not leave the state as planned.

“July is a month which is relatively slow compared to the other months,” Gonsalves said

“That is the most opportune time to do so,” he continued, saying that the majority of the work that needed to be done was in relation to making sure that the schools are in order for reopening in September.

Gonsalves said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Girlyn Miguel and Senator Julian Francis, Minister of Works, are competent in ensuring that the work is completed. (DD)
