The event will see seven women from six Caribbean countries vie for the coveted title.

Tatianna John and Ashnique Gumbs will represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with Yanique Crawford, representing Jamaica, Knia Antoine- Grenada, Carla Francis- St. Lucia and Jolene Farrell – Trinidad and Tobago.

The Pageant will be hosted by the Antillian Sports and Cultural Club and Mariners Soccer Club, which are both Vincentian oriented. The show will see the contestants make appearances in the Swimwear, Talent and Evening wear and Interview categories.

Dubbed as a “family fun event”, Co-ordinator of the show Yvonne Peters said that the pageant was born out of ‘the young ladies in netball club asking for an event geared at young adults and teenagers, hence the idea for tomorrow’s show.

Peters explained that New York, with its diverse communities with various cultures, gives young people with Caribbean roots the opportunity to get involved and learn more about their roots.

Apart from the title of Miss CAC, as well as First and Second Runners up, there are awards for Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.
