Bishop’s College Young Leaders donate water to NEMO
As part of efforts to assist persons affected by flash floods that ravaged the Windward side of the island last week, the Bishopâs College Kingstown Young Leaders on Thursday, April 15, donated eight cases of bottled water to the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO).{{more}}
President of the Young Leaders, Chekesha King, told SEARCHLIGHT that they wanted to help those affected persons in anyway they could, hence the reason for the water donation.
As a result of torrential rains on Tuesday, April 12, areas from Mount Young to Rabacca were extensively damaged by natureâs fury.
Houlda Peters, Deputy Director (Ag) of NEMO, thanked the Young Leaders for their donation and stated that it would go a long way in providing water to persons in the affected areas. (KW)
