Skinny Fabulous nominated for international music award

Three-time St. Vincent and the Grenadines soca monarch Gamal ‘Skinny Fabulous’ Doyle, has been nominated for an international award.{{more}}

Doyle, who won the title three times in a row from 2008 to 2010, with his songs ‘Head Bad’, ‘The Beast Let Go’ and ‘Charge Up’, has been nominated for Best Male Calypso/ Soca Entertainer at the International Reggae and World Music Awards, slated to take place in Trinidad and Tobago on May 28, this year.

The internationally acclaimed artiste will come up against other top performers in the calypso and soca genres, including the likes of JW and Blaze and Machel Montano.

The event, which is in its 30th year, is organized by Martin’s International and Associates, who promote reggae, Caribbean, African and other world music art forms, honoring entertainers and others associated with world music for their contributions to the industry and to humanity internationally.
