In handing over the donation to a thankful Principal Nereus Auguste, PRO of RJR Jeremiah Howard reiterated the groupâs commitment to giving back to the community every year a part of the proceeds of their signature event, JâOuvert. âWe are pleasedâ, he said, âbecause of the support of our sponsors and patrons, to be able to return something to our community for a good cause. We hope that other members of corporate St. Vincent would also step forward to assist the school during this celebration of their 50th Anniversary and beyond, ensuring that our youths continue to be educated in an environment that is conducive to learning. â
This donation, which was made in the presence of the Schoolâs Deputy Prinicipal, Student Council President, and Chairman and Secretary of the newly incorporated Friends of SMSS Foundation, is to be used to assist with the refurbishment of the school library.
Chairman of Friends of SMSS Foundation Ronnie Daniel also thanked RJR for their contribution and commended the group for its social conscience.
