“Whilst several of our women have been making strides in our society, there are a significant number of Vincentian women who are victims of domestic violence, abuse, incest, indecent assault, rape and several other forms of violation against them,” a release from the organization said.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Human Rights Association called on the authorities to provide a safe home for battered women and women who are victims of sexual offences.

“There are several learning resource centres in the country which could be utilized for such a worthy cause. Let us salute the achievements of our Vincentian women and seek to provide to safe home for those women who are being abused,” the release said.
