The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force was on Tuesday, September 7, presented with three pairs of Binoculars from ex-police officer Kenneth Cupid.{{more}}

The handing over was done at the police conference room.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Cupid said he noticed that the local constabulary has limited resources in fighting crime. He said criminals are now equipped with sophisticated guns and that the police need a broad range of equipment to help in the prevention of crime and violence.

“Security is very dear to me, and I think Vincentians living abroad should contribute to the development of St Vincent. Anything to ensure safety and minimize crime is a wonderful privilege,” he noted.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Lenroy Brewster thanked Cupid for his donation and said the binoculars would mainly be used by Coast Guard and Rapid Response Unit (RRU).

Cupid has donated other items to the Police Force in the past. (KW)
