Akzo Nobel, a company with nearly 300 years of expertise, operates across 80 countries and is acknowledged as a global leader in colour. Globally, the company markets and manufactures many well known brands including Dulux, Glidden, Ralph Lauren Paint, Martha Stewart Living, Sikkens, Cuprinol, Polycell, International, Devoe Coatings and Hammerite.

Harris and B-H Paints utilize a wide range of Akzo Nobel technologies and tools, including “The Master Palette”, a global colour tinting system offering over 6,000 colours, “Colour Futures” a global colour trend forecasting programme, and “The Language of Colour”, a unique consumer-friendly system for co-ordinating and selecting colours.

Steve Nelson, V.P. International Markets for Akzo Nobel, expanded on the partnership: “We began our exciting partnership with Harris Paints back in 2002, and since then we have seen it grow from strength to strength. One of the key reasons we chose Harris Paints as our main Caribbean partner was the fact that they had the broadest reach, and were manufacturing in and exporting to more countries than any other Caribbean paint company.

“In fact they now have exclusive rights to Akzo Nobel expertise, technology and brands in 12 countries, making them our largest partner in the region.”

Territories where Harris Paints is the exclusive licensing partner of Akzo Nobel, include Barbados, St. Lucia, Guyana, Dominica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Carriacou, Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten, Montserrat, Guyana, and Jamaica (under the BH Name).

Nelson expanding on the relationship between the two companies, said “The other critical reason we chose to work with Harris was their commitment to quality, proven by their ISO certification and strong performance in Akzo Nobel’s quality control tests.”
