Calder seniors get special ‘Thank You’

Saturday, July 24, was a special day in Calder for senior citizens of that community.{{more}}

The Calder Seventh Day Adventist Community Service held a service to thank 12 senior citizens for their contribution to the development of the community.

The honorees are: Roderick Bascombe, Claudine Decaul, Roy Lewis, Thelma Haynes, Albert Caine, Marjorie Samuel, Alban Deane, Eileen McKie, Lutel Roberts, Ormond Baptiste, Albion Thomas and Bertram Lewis.

They were recognized for their contribution to careers which included teaching, farming, domestic, working in factories and on the road, mechanic, watchman, pharmacist and selling religious literature.

The event was attended by St.Vincent and the Grenadines High Commissioner to London, Cenio Lewis, and Dr.Arnold Thomas, who delivered remarks.

The honorees were presented with plaques and certificates.
