Largo Height teen wins LIME $10,000
Largo Height resident Alyssa Dublin is $10,000 richer today after winning the grand prize in the LIME Carnival Sweepstakes draw on Monday, July 27.{{more}} At a presentation ceremony at the newly refurbished LIME Kingstown Corporate office, Alyssa collected her cheque from Chief Finance Officer, Lydia Courtney Francis.
The excited 19-year-old employee of VINLEC and past student of the St. Josephâs Convent Kingstown and the Community College said: âThis will surely come in handy, especially at this time when I am thinking of going away to do my ACCA. I have been employed at VINLEC for ten months now as a receptionist and I can now see my dream is going to come through, and I am thankful and blessed to be a customer of LIME at his time.â
Alyssaâs mother, Cheryl Anne Dublin, herself a LIME customer for over twenty years, was also present at the handover ceremony, and was extremely happy that her daughter was able to win the grand prize. âAt a time when things are rough, the Lord answers prayers, and after twenty five years as a customer, I feel like a winner myself,â said Dublin.
Chief Finance Officer, Lydia Courtney Francis, expressed delight that a young and upcoming professional won and the money will be used for education, especially in the field of finance. âMany persons may have used the money to pay off a debt or to go on a trip, but Alyssa will invest this money in her future and she will always remember that LIME created the opportunity for her to further her education.
