Republic of China on Taiwan donates to Girl Guides

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has come to the assistance of the Girl Guide Association.{{more}}

On July 13, Taiwanese Ambassador Leo LEE, met with Laura Browne, the International Commissioner of the Girl Guide Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Robyn Hadaway, to express Taiwan’s support to the Girl Guide Association by donating EC$1000 to sponsor Hadaway’s trip to the United Kingdom.

Hadaway was selected as a guider to accompany a group of Vincentian Girl Guides to an activity at the World Centre ‘Pax Lodge’ in the United Kingdom and an International camp there.

Ambassador LEE stressed that the Girl Guides Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has played a vital role in the social development of SVG, especially for young girls. Ambassador LEE also recalled that he has wonderful memories of when he was a boy scout. He further emphasized that the Embassy will continue to work with NGOs such as the Girl Guides Association to assist in their endeavours.
