Ratho Mill man charged with murder of Venezuelan
Sheon Veira, a resident of Ratho Mill, has been charged with the murder of 37-year-old Venezuelan businessman, Juan Carlos on June 22, 2010.{{more}}
Veira appeared at the Kingstown Magistrateâs Court on Monday July 19, and was not allowed to enter a plea.
Carlos was shot and killed at his Ratho Mill apartment during a robbery. He sustained gunshot wounds to his right side and chest when two masked men entered the apartment and demanded money before shooting him.
Carlosâ countryman, 34-year-old businessman Douglas Effencuanuno Chinios was also in the apartment at the time of the murder. He sustained gunshot wounds to the fingers on both hands.
The matter was transferred to the Serious Offences Court for Monday July, 26.
