Summer Bible Camp is a thirty-seven year old summer ministry that was introduced in SVG by The Gospel Hall Assemblies of SVG, primarily to minister to the spiritual needs of the nation’s youths, children from the Assemblies as well as other denominations.

Junior Camp for children between the age of 7-13 took place last week, while the Senior Campers from age thirteen upwards will meet from Friday this week for ten days. “Walk with Jesus” was the theme for this year’s Junior Camp and during the week, some 23 campers accepted Christ as their Saviour, while a number of others rededicated their lives to Christ. Activities for the programme included Bible Lessons, a Sports meeting at Sion Hill playing field, a field trip to Black Point Heritage Site, Arts and Craft, indoor games, Folk Singing, team planning/participation and competition.

The Programme is managed by the Glad Tidings Bible Camp Committe, headed by its chairman Tyrone “Tom” Dickson. This year, Curtis Greaves was Camp Director and Rouna Burke the Programme Director. They were assisted by a number of senior members of the Assemblies including a yearly Missionary Brother and visitor to SVG for many years, Fred “Uncle Fred” Copeland from Ireland.
