Information regarding types, signs, symptoms, treatment and complications associated with diabetes was shared with the public. Pamphlets and a poster displaying facts about diabetes were some of the tools used in the presentation.

The presentation was well received and raised a number of questions from the diabetics who were in attendance.

Vice President of the Junior Doctors Association, Dr. Shakel Henson, emphasized that the quality of life of a diabetic is dependent on how the individual manages his/her condition.

Although there is no cure for diabetes it can be controlled.
