JCI celebrates fifty years

As part of their 50th anniversary celebration as an organization, JCI St. Vincent held their anniversary dinner last Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the Cruise Ship Terminal.

Delivering the key note address, JCI West Indies President, David Knights, thanked the organization for pioneering the public speaking competition, the donation of the first ambulance, the construction of the Fancy Clinic, and more.{{more}}

The Governor General, His Excellency Sir Frederick Ballantyne, presented awards to five outstanding citizens, including a Humanitarian Award to Dr. Cecil Cyrus and Mentorship Award to JCI Senator, Bernard Marksman.

The organization conducted a recruitment exercise, health fairs and training seminars, and met with senior government officials during their period of celebration.
