Special day for oldest mom in Mayreau

When much of the world celebrated Mother’s Day on May 9, it was no different on the small grenadine island of Mayreau.{{more}}

The day was highlighted by a family-fun day on the hard court, hosted by The Mayreau Regatta and Sporting Committee.

It was a particularly happy Mother’s Day for the oldest mother present at the court: Albertina ‘Mother May’ Forde, who was presented with a cake. The presentation was made by Maria Ollivierre, Assistant Treasurer of the Mayreau Regatta and Sporting Committee.

‘Mother May’ was very happy and teary-eyed, as the presentation was made to her in the presence of some of her children and grandchildren.
