Prime Minister Gonsalves sends condolences to Libya

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph E Gonsalves last week expressed condolences to Libyan Leader Moammar Gadhafi, the Libyan people and the families who have suffered death in the recent plane crash in that country.{{more}}

The Prime Minister expressed his condolences in a telephone conversation with Gadhafi on Thursday, May 13, 2010.

Prime Minister Gonsalves also enquired about the sole survivor of the plane crash, 9-year-old Ruben van Assouw.

Gadhafi informed Prime Minister Gonsalves that a family member of the boy who lost his parents in the incident was flown in from the Netherlands to be with him.

The Libyan leader thanked Prime Minister Gonsalves and the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for their kindness in this matter and vowed to convey condolences to every family who lost someone in the tragic incident.
