Accepting the cheque on the school’s behalf, Sister Jacintha Wallace expressed thanks to ScotiaBank for answering their call. Wallace said that the newly formed programme is designed to prepare students for higher learning and shape their futures.

Explaining how the programme operates, Wallace said that as long as students meet certain requirements such as involvement in extra-curricular activities and outstanding punctuality, among others, they will be rewarded $100 at the end of the academic year. In addition, should they continue to meet those requirements at the end of their school tenure, they will be awarded $500 at graduation, which goes towards their tertiary education.

Personal Banking Officer, Ashroy Forde, lauded the school for the tremendous work they have been doing taking up such a programme to assist the students. Forde noted that such a programme not only helps to mould students academically, but it also helps to make them more responsible individuals.(KW)
