We are in receipt of information from the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Office that a drought alert has been issued for St. Vincent and the Grenadines effective now and continues to the end of March, 2010.{{more}}

Use Water Wisely

* Do not water lawns and gardens

* Wash dishes in a stopped sink

* Use a bucket rather than a hose while washing your vehicle

* Do not wash vehicles at standpipes

* Close all taps securely

* Limit the amount of time you spend in the shower

* Report all burst pipes and leaks to the CWSA immediately

* All schools must ensure that regular checks are made to ensure there is no wastage during and after school hours

* Check your homes for leaks and repair dripping taps

* Government Buildings MUST use water wisely

* Wash full loads of laundry
