Students, teachers, parents and onlookers joined the band as they chanted âReading is fun, so come on everyone, letâs read for a start, so we can be smart,â and âReading is nice, itâs better than rice, read, read, read, and you will win the prize.â
Students of the Spring Village Methodist School were joined by the pre-schoolers from the Spring Village World Wide Mission Pre-School and the Spring Village Methodist Pre-School. Students were dressed in white t-shirts decocrated with reading slogans, and well decorated hats were seen among the students and teachers.
A programme followed the march at which the students displayed their reading abilities, whether by saying poems, reading stories or doing speeches on facts about their country.
A number of items were on display from the work of the students from the past and current terms. Among these items were compositions written by students, short stories, art projects and many more.
