Belmont Government: Winners of Health Quiz

THE Belmont Government School emerged winners in a Health Quiz hosted on February 4, 2010, by the Young Leaders of the St Clair Dacon Secondary School.{{more}}

The school, which was represented by Addison Edwards and Zenroy Chance, was victorious over six other schools: Stubbs Government, Brighton Methodist, Calliaqua Anglican , Belmont Government, New Prospect Primary, Biabou Methodist and Calder Primary Schools.

The students were tested on the Health Education curriculum. The Curriculum was divided into four categories: Facts on the Human body, Health and Body, Health and the Environment and Diseases which affect the Human Body.

There were three rounds, with each school being given approximately seven questions. There were multiple choice questions, structured questions and true and false questions. The Biabou Methodist came in second and Calder Primary School third. The students were awarded prizes such as books, dictionaries and vouchers for school supplies.
