SVG rated as Top Tourism Destination

St.Vincent and the Grenadines has been rated a top tourism destination by several prestigious organizations specialized in rating countries.{{more}}

This country was adjudged the 2009 Best Sailing & Yachting Island of the Year in the Caribbean Travel World Awards. For 2009, St.Vincent and the Grenadines also copped the Travel Weekly Silver Magellan Award Best Honeymoon Destination and the 16th World Travel Awards for the Caribbean Leading Luxury Villa. This prize went to Raffles Hotel & Villa, Canouan.

The 16th Word Travel Awards also adjudged St.Vincent and the Grenadines as having the Leading Boutique Hotel and the Leading Resort Hotel. Palm Island and Raffles Resort, Canouan, received these prizes, respectively.

The Grenadine isle of Mustique was ranked number one on the Worldâs top 10 islands off the beaten track by the travel website Jetsetter (jetsetter.com). The same website ranked Canouan number two in this same category.

Caribbean islands were the first four islands in the list of âWorldâs top 10 islands off the beaten trackâ. The other Caribbean island included Harbour Island in the Bahamas.
