Narrow escape for truck driver

One week after a tragic accident at Argyle claimed three lives, Webster Shallow of Barrouallie narrowly escaped with his in another bizarre accident.{{more}}

Shallow was driving along the Lower Kingstown Park route on Friday, January 8, 2010, when the truck he was driving (T7468) hit a side wall and overturned just outside the accounting firm KPMG.

He was rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital with injuries to his right arm after the truck owned by McLenon Davis of Barrouallie fell on it.

The truck was set on its four wheels by passersby and members of the Traffic Department of the Royal St.Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

On ‘Old Year’s day’, an accident on the Argyle portion of the Windward Highway claimed the lives of 37-year-old Michele Bernadette Pompey of Chili Village, Georgetown, and Romario Marson, 12, of Spring Village, who died on the spot. Sandy Bay resident 31-year-old Sonithie Ballantyne subsequently died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
