Fourteen boxes with apples, grapes, bananas, carrots, cabbage and other fruits and vegetables were donated to the MCMH Kitchen on Friday, December 18, 2009 on the hospital grounds.

The group previously donated fruits and vegetables to the Mental Health Centre and the Lewis Punnett Home.

President of the Young Leaders group, Williesha London, explained that they advertised the need for fruits and vegetables on the media and by word of mouth. The fruits were donated by vendors and supermarkets in and around Kingstown.

The young leaders have other activities planned including a wellness rally and wellness day at their school.
