Mayreau is listed under the category “Paradise Found” and is the only Eastern Caribbean island to be named on the National Geographic Traveler’s list. Other islands in this category include the British Virgin Islands, Pacific Islands, Hawaiian and Greek islands to name a few.

The Magazine also included an article on Mayreau entitled “Unplugged in the Grenadines” by Executive Editor and former traveller Paul Martin.

Paul Martin recently retired after thirty (30) years at National Geographic, where assignments took him to numerous islands in the Caribbean and Hawaii.

A release from the Ministry of Tourism said it “celebrates the fact that our multi-island destination of St. Vincent and the Grenadines continues to hold its own in international tourism news.”
