This year, the SVG Red Cross is planning to help some fifty persons or families in need on December 12 or 13.

A release from the Embassy said Ambassador Leo Lee was deeply impressed by this charitable programme and decided to make this contribution after he received a request from Bernard Marksman, the President of the SVG Red Cross.

The cheque was handed over by Counsellor Michael LIN to Julia Simmons, the Treasurer of the SVG Red Cross, on December 1.

During the handover, Lin emphasized that what the SVG Red Cross did was very important and full of the spirit of Christmas. He also reiterated that the Embassy was very glad to work with local NGOs, such as the SVG Red Cross, to assist the needy families in SVG.
