Police Christmas concerts begin

Since its inception more than fifty years ago, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Band has been doing its part to spread Christmas cheer throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

And this year is no exception, as the band makes its annual trek around the nation, making a stop in Redemption Sharpes this afternoon at 4 p.m.

This year, the annual concerts began on Monday this week in Fitz Hughes and are expected to end with a Thanksgiving Concert on December 23 at Old Montrose.

The concert that was scheduled to take place in Gomea yesterday was cancelled due to the funeral of a police officer. however other concerts are scheduled at Layou (December 6th), Ottley Hall (7th), Park Hill (8th) Spring Village(10th), Greggs (11th), Government House (12th), Stubbs (13th), Questelles (14th), Bequia(15th), Vermont (16th), Paul’s Avenue (17th), Troumaca (18th), Byrea (21st), and Biabou (22nd).

All these concerts begin at four in the afternoon.

In between, the band will perform at the Police Caroling Competition on December 13 at the Chamber of Commerce car park at 7 pm, the police children’s party on December 19 at 8 p.m. at the Old Montrose Police Station, and the community singing concert, which takes place between the National Commercial Bank and Income Tax offices on December 20 at 4 p.m.
