Coach of the swim team Rickydene Alexander turned up at the offices of Digicel in the Lewis Building on James Street last Wednesday to personally thank Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche for making the trip possible. The team was in Grenada from November 6 to 8.

Alexander said: “Thanks to Digicel and Quickcash we were able to go to Grenada; Digicel is our platinum sponsor and Quickcash is our silver sponsor so we would like to say thank you very much.”

DeRoche said that when approached by Alexander, Digicel did not hesitate because of the fact that by helping the swim team it impacted directly on the youths.

“We just saw it as a way of giving back and supporting. It is a good initiative to see the youngsters getting involved and representing the country and we are looking forward to bigger and better things next year and we hope that more swimmers can be sent to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the future,” DeRoche said.

Meanwhile, Consumer Services Representative Assistant at Quickcash, Keisha Andrews, said the company was honoured to help the swimmers and looked forward to assisting them again in the future.
