The 39 persons, ranging from students to tradesmen, each walked away with $1,000 from Digicel’s Corporate Offices, located in the Lewis Building on James Street. The money was given to the lucky persons as part of Digicel’s loyalty programme.

Digicel’s Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche explained that the $1,000 is Digicel’s way of rewarding its customers for supporting the company over the years.

DeRoche further explained that everyone who owns a Digicel handset and tops up $10.00 or more is entered in a random draw, which allows them to win $1000. The promotion will end when each prepaid customer is rewarded with $1000.

“I would like to thank you for putting your trust in Digicel and I would like to ask you to continue to support us,” DeRoche said.

Meanwhile, today August 14th, one lucky person will walk away with $20,000 compliments Digicel and its Mad Money Summer Promotion.

Persons are entered in the Mad Money draw when they talk for three minutes (Free After 3) or when they talk for five minutes (Free After 5), or top up $15 or more, or pay their bill on time or purchase a handset. Five Customers will be randomly selected Monday through Friday and given a Golden Ticket. One of those selected will take home $20,000.

Judith Hull-Ballah, Rohan Edwards and Kamarlo Sayers have already won $20,000. The final draw will take place on August 28th, taking the total amount of money won during the Mad Money Promotion to $100,000.
