The singer, whose real name is Joel Richards, hails from the Marriaqua community of La Croix and has been based in the Turks and Caicos islands for the past eight years.

The music video for his song Strong Black Woman is expected to be aired on the channel (63 here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines) in mid to late August, with a final date yet to be decided.

It was filmed in New York USA by a Tempo film team.

Richards, a former police officer now Human Resources Administrator at one of the top resorts in the Turks and Caicos, said that he is excited to become one of the few Vincentians to have a music video aired on the channel.

Recording and performing since he was a youngster, Richards has since shared the big stage with performers like Elephant Man, Junior Reid, Buju Banton and Lucky Dube, to name a few.

The married father of three currently has an album out entitled “Wine On Me”, and found regional acclaim with his 2002 effort “Wet”.(JJ)
