Lewis-Shepard said that SCAFC, a non-profit organization, was established in 1999 to help the needy children in Canouan on education and health. Every year, SCAFC holds fund-raising parties and children’s camps. In 2009, the summer camp will begin on July 21.

Ambassador Lee was deeply touched by the great contributions the SCAFC has made to the needy children in Canouan for many years. He admired Lewis-Shepard’s determination and efforts to help her homeland. Ambassador Lee further indicated that the Embassy will cooperate with the SCAFC to assist the children who need help in Canouan in the future.
