According to a reliable source, Jerome Janicot, 57, of France and his wife Sylvia were on the Grenadine island for a ten-day vacation and were due to leave on Monday, March 9, 2009.

The couple reportedly went out to dinner with friends on Saturday night, during which it is reported that Janicot consumed alcohol.

Janicot’s wife had shuttled friends to their respective yachts after the meal using the couple’s dinghy, leaving her husband for last.

Just after 3 am, on her final trip, she was said to have found her husband floating just off the jetty where she left him.

Efforts to revive him were futile and the police were summoned. (JJ)
