Young cricketers bank on Scotia and Digicel

From June 21-22 at the Grammar School Playing Field, Digicel and Scotia Bank teamed up on to give youngsters a fun games day called the “Digicel Scotia Bank Cricket Experience.”

Digicel’s Marketing Manager Juno De Roche described the response from the public as phenomenal and thanked everyone for coming out.{{more}}

She said besides playing cricket-oriented games from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., youngsters and their parents also got the opportunity to interact with members of the West Indies Cricket.

De Roche also commended Scotia Bank for partnering with Digicel in sponsoring the event which became a memorable experience for those who attended.

Meanwhile, Scotia Bank Representative Norman Cumberbatch also welcomed the coming together of two companies to make the “Digicel Scotia Bank Cricket Experience” a success.

Cumberbatch also pointed out that such activities would encourage youngsters from an early age to get involved in sports, and noted that even young cricketer Sunil Ambris, who has represented this country, came through the Scotia Bank Kiddies Cricket programme.

Scotia Bank’s Manager Personal Banking Manager also heavily endorsed the Digicel/Scotia Bank partnership and said that the financial institution will continue to focus on the development on the youth.
