Digicel welcomes cricketers

In a show of hospitality, members of Digicel St.Vincent were on hand last Saturday and Sunday to welcome the West Indies and Australia Cricket Teams.

Speaking from the VIP Lounge at the E.T. Joshua airport in Arnos Vale on Saturday, Manager of the West Indies team Oliver Kahn thanked the local Digicel contingent for their show of kindness which included the provision of food and beverages.{{more}} “We are very grateful to be welcomed like this after the flight,” said Kahn. Juno DeRoche, along with other Digicel employees and the Digicel Rhythmix Steel Orchestra.

George used the opportunity to congratulate the players on their recent victory and to wish them luck in their Digicel Home Series game played last Tuesday at the Arnos Vale Playing Field. Digicel has committed some US$20 million to West Indies cricket until 2012.
