Davis May of Owia went fishing and has not been seen since, and his wife Jemma says that she is praying and keeping faith. But if her husband, whom she last saw on April 25th, is dead, she at least wants his body to be recovered.

“We would want his body to get closure,” she told SEARCHLIGHT, adding that she is still hoping for a miracle that he is alive and well somewhere.

But up to press time, the Coast Guard was still carrying out searches for May, but to no avail.

Describing her relationship with her husband as good, Jemma told SEARCHLIGHT that he stayed in Owia with his mother because of work, but she would go see him, and sometimes he would come down.

Jemma, a janitor, said that while she is crying a lot, she is trying very hard to keep her 16-year-old daughter Akeela calm, because she is writing CXC examinations this year.

“We trying our best to cope with this. Akeela has exams, so I have to make sure she is alright, I am trying my best to help her,” Jemma said.

The couple has three children; 18-year-old Davidson, Akeela, and 13-year-old Deavoun.

The couple has been married for 14 years.(KJ)
