Mexican Ambassdor visits SVG

Ambassador Designate of Mexico to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, His Excellency Gerardo Lozano, visited St. Vincent and the Grenadines earlier this week to present his credentials and to meet with Government and private sector representatives.{{more}}
The ambassador designate presented his credentials to His Excellency the Governor General, Sir Frederick Ballantyne, at 10.30 Tuesday morning. During his two-day visit which ended on Tuesday, he also met with Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves, Minister of Urban Development and Culture Hon. René Baptiste, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade and the President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Jerry George.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines established diplomatic relations with Mexico in 1990 and has enjoyed good relations since then. The Government of Mexico has provided technical assistance in various sectors, including education, training and physical infrastructural development. Over sixty (60) Vincentian students are currently pursuing tertiary level education in Mexico.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines has supported Mexican candidates in various international organisations over the years, including the World health Organisation (W.H.O.).
Ambassador Lozano replaces H.E. Sergio Saavedra and will be based in St. Lucia.
