NWM to represent MUFS, NLA workers

The National Workers Movement (NWM) has won the right to represent the workers at the Marriaqua United Friendly Society and the National Lotteries Authority.{{more}}

A release dated February 25th, issued by the National Workers Movement, said that in a Trade Union Representation Ballot Poll conducted between the 14th – 21st February 2008, the Union gained a 91% and 85% majority, respectively.

The Poll was conducted by the Department of Labour, based on claims presented by the NWM. The Union is now awaiting letters of recognition from the respective employers. Meanwhile, the Union is preparing proposals for submission to the respective employers in order to commence negotiations.
