The band will be launched this Sunday at the Chamber of Commerce car park at 5pm, with photos of their upcoming production on display.

The band, in its fifth year of thrilling revelers, placed fifth overall last year with its contribution ‘Tribes of Formosa’, and according to band leader Kingsley Collis, the team is hoping to do better than they did one year ago.

Collis said the group is sticking to the historic trend, because it worked well for them during their previous outings to Carnival City Victoria Park.

This year’s production will feature famous characters and the folklore of ancient Egypt, depicting Phoenix, Isis, Nun, Horus, Nefertiti, charmers, Pharaohs, Anucknum, Pyramids and Civilization.

The band is located at the old Kingstown Town Board building in Paul’s Avenue, and persons interested in joining or assisting that band can go there for more information.
