For the second year, the Image Modelling Agency will be hosting the 2008 Face of Shabeau Competition.{{more}}

This year’s event will feature 14 models (seven male, seven female) who will compete for the chance to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Face of Shabeau Competition in Barbados. This year, Cable and Wireless’ bMobile brand will be the headline sponsor for the event where one male model and one female model will walk away with the coveted title.

“We are once again pleased to be teaming up with the Image Modelling Agency. We last worked with them in 2004 for their annual Fashion Caribbean show and were pleased with the outcome then. We look forward to a long, fruitful relationship in the upcoming months. We are encouraging all Vincentians to show their support for the hard work the agency continues to do and to support each of the models who will be participating in the event,” said Head of Marketing and Advertising, Fitzgerald Huggins.

The models went through two days of photoshoots last weekend, and the shots that will ultimately decide their fates were chosen and will be presented to the judging panel this weekend when the models will have their one on one interviews.

Over the next few weeks the models will make a series of public appearances at bMobile events and also conduct interviews with the media.

“This year’s event is expected to be bigger and better, and with bMobile we are now able to get the general public to participate on a larger scale. Persons can now text for their favorite model and one lucky bMobile customer will have a chance to actually come along with the winners to the finals in Barbados in April,” said Monique Tash of the Agency.

“We are very pleased to have bMobile with us and we look forward to partnering with them with lots more events.”

The show will be held on Saturday, February 23, at the Aquatic Club. The show will feature local designers Kimya Glasgow and Kimon Baptiste.
